Helmar Adhesive

Hi , today I wold like to  share a very significant date with all of you.  November 11 was chosen as the official date for Veterans Day in reference to the ending of World War I.  Families with members who have served in the military appreciate a day of remembrance that can be share with all of us.  We must always remember and demonstrate to the young the gratitude we have for those that have served in the military.
To-day, I am sharing a couple of cards, which truly showcase the vibrate red of the poppy in remembrance of
Veterans Day.

Visit Helmar's Blog for full details on this project.

Leading to my completed cards, I have gathered my supplies of Helmar Decoupage & Craft Paste and Clearsnap Ink along with my stamps.

I love the red jewel tone of the mulberry paper.

They are pretty straight forward..you must use Core visibly on your projects, upload using the linky at the bottom of this post by midnight November 10th EST, and follow my challenge rules but please make sure you follow the rules and check them out on the Core blog. BUT the most important rule...is to CREATE AND HAVE FUN! smile.gif

If you would like to see a full list of the challenges head over the Core blog HERE for a list that will be updated continually throughout the weekend.

Now who wants to get crafty?

The season is upon us where we are visiting and sharing good times with family and friends.  I know that a few of you for sure will be needing a wine bottle gift bag to wrap up someone's favorite bottle of wine.

For this challenge I would like you to get out some Core'dinations cardstock and add some embellishments to an existing GIFT bag to really create a WOW factor to your gift presentation.

Pick out a new or up-cycle an existing GIFT  bag from your stash and add some Core'dinations cardstock to your pretty.  If wine is not your choice of beverage, how about a gift bag for your hostess or special recipient.

Here I have used embossed Core'dinations card stock and die cut some flourishes as well as some  leaves to embellish my gift bag with a  Core'dinations border at the base of the wine bag.  I was super happy to have up-cycled this clear gift bag, which allowed for some fun transparency mirror like embellishments.

Add a bow, tulle, leaves and any embellishment to express the occasion for the gift giving.  This can be a quick up-scaled gift giving presentation.  Have fun being creative and see how much enjoyment you will bring to your host.

Once Upon A Sketch --- 7 Dots Studio and ScrapMatts

The Solar System was lined up and I could see all of my favorite star's shinning brightly this month.  ScrapMatts and 7 Dots Studio will shine brightly in this post today.  My dear friend Sandi Smith is cheering the teams on at both leading companies, so how could i resist her motivation.  Sandi and I share a love for water and her layout has given me inspiration to share the common love we have for being on the water.  I needed a sketch as my starting point, since a sketch will spark my mojo and Once Upon A Sketch caught my eye.  This layout magically came together so quickly, so happy with the quality product and an inspirational sketch.
Be sure to visit all of my shining star's today, support them and visit often for inspiration.

Here are the deets for this months sketch challenge.
Journalling Theme: "The Journey..."

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!
Here is my hidden journalling..

Here is my layout which reflects my passionate journey with lakeside waters.

Our family has been on this lake for 65 years.  This was my great grandparents summer home on this lake and I hope that my son will share the lake with his family some day.

Lets talk about 7 Dots Studio

7 Dots Studio paper collections whisper to me and I find them truly irresistible.  This layout features the Domesti Goddess Collection and I have used the papers which are designed by Anna Dabrowska called Kitchen Wallpaper and Proudly handcrafted.

The Kitchen Wallpaper was so magical for my photo... love this one.  This pattern paper framed my soothing photo so well to capture the moment and essence of magic.

This month 7 dots challenge is promoting the following October theme.
"to prepare a project about something, what you have done only for yourself"
so
my passion is waterskiing, boating and lakeside magical breezes.

ScrapMatts Chipboard from Australia

Owner Sofie is the one of the many kind, generous, passionate business women of our crafting industry.

My layout features many of Scrapmatts chippies which i have linked in my supply list. So, Sandi Smith has challege many of us to "GO BRIGHT" for the month of October in the forum section here.
Visit ScrapMatts and become a member of their community.
Here are some closeup shots of Scrapmatts chipboard that complements my presentation so well. I think Sofie's team of designers made these chipboard pieces just for my layout...smile

In addition to the wonderful texture look to the pattern paper I have added gesso, stamping and drywall tape to give my layout a nautical water feel with a compass for direction..smile.
