Imaginarium Designs Design Team Audition

Hello and Welcome to my blog.

Imaginarium is a Chipboard Company formed in 2010. This company is  the collaborate effort of a Mother and Son who both love designing and working in the Papercraft Industry.  To-day, I wish to share with you my love for chipboard and the various treatments that you can apply to chipboard to obtain a wide range of artistic results.  Grab a coffee and take your time to look closely at how chipboard can truly embellish your photo's and projects.  This is my Design Team Call Audition.

Inking raw chipboard

Here is a card, which has had Clearsnap Chestnut ink applied directly onto the raw chipboard.
Take a closer look at the fine lightweight detail of this bicycle laser cut design.
The raw chipboard that has been inked.

Teasing of chipboard

Here is a fine example of teasing the edges to give fullness to a chipboard piece.

Taking a closer look at this teasing technique.  You will see additional layers of texture and the addition of paint and glitter presents a plump fullness to the ornate card header.

Seed Beads and Paints

This layout showcases the ability to layer chipboard pieces without adding to much bulk.  I have painted and adhered seed beads to the pieces to give the chipboard a organic texture.

A teased chipboard embellishment, gesso'd, painted and glittered.

Chipboard embellishments can be added to any off the page project.  This gift bag celebrates an event which can later have the embellished chipboard removed and saved as a keepsake.  Applying a layer of gesso, provides a white softer look to any raw chipboard piece.

Look how quick an application of ink can be applied to chipboard and present a  rustic look to any masculine layout.

Stamped chipboard

One of my favorites is to stamp large pieces of chipboard to create matching elements with different embellishment pieces.  The chipboard in this presentation has been painted and inked.  A script stamp has been stamped onto the large pieces of chipboard to complement the nautical themed layout.

Mixed media chipboard embellishment frame.

Chipboard can be embellished with almost any mix'd medium.  Here the "Let your Dreams" frame has glitter, paper and embellishment flakes adhered to the chipboard frame.

 Embossing Treatment.

The ATC card below, demonstrates how embossing powder can stick to the chipboard and give the chipboard a textural presentation to any project.

Stamped - Gesso'd Chipboard

This card showcases this basket chipboard in a eye pleasing floral arrangement.  The eye travels from the floral blooms down onto the chipboard basket, which has been painted with gesso and stamped with a branch.  This chipboard basket can be removed from the card and kept with mementos in a keepsake box.

Canvas- Chipboard title and embellishments-paint treatment

This mix'd media canvas with multiple layers of medium's showcases a chipboard titles which really adds interest to any project.  The painted chipboard grasses add layers of texture to this wall canvas.

This concludes my tour of the many ways chipboard can be treated to get a mix'd media presentation.
