Scrap Around the World swan song plays with Unity and DCWV

Hello bloggers and Welcome to my blog.  December is a busy time of the year and I hope all goes well with your families during the Holiday Season.

To-day I wanted to share a card and layout to support DCWV and Scrap Around the World.

This month of December 2015 is the last blog postmonth challenge for Scrap Around the World.

To celebrate a great run with Scrap Around the World.

 I have challenged myself with scrapbooking a magazine cover.

Have you ever tried to design a layout using a Magazine Cover as a large portion of your design?

Here is the mood board for Scrap Around the World.  I am taking the mood to all levels.

-My son is in Hong Kong for 3 months---- that is around the world from his home town.....

-Andrew's Christmas will be celebrated in Hong Kong, totally different world.

-Andrew is working as well in Hong Kong and enjoying his new adventure. 

-Everything about this mood board has inspired this layout, the sentiment, "the future is bright" explains Andrew experiences as a model in HK.  The gold glitter gives the inspiration to a new festive beginning in HK. Champagne glasses are a celebration of experiencing new opportunities and meeting people from all over the world.....  Receiving a magazine in the mail with an article feature from the country that Andrew is living in at the moment was a pleasure to  receive and read.

Here is the sketch that helped me design my layout using that colorful Magazine cover from DCWV blog.

I flipped the sketch a bit and worked with this multi colorful palete....

DCWV also has a beautiful card sketch, which I am going to keep handy as its definitely a keeper.

 Love the blue colors from the DCWV Marque Stack.

To end the year with a cheer for some of my favorite companies, I have featured Unity Stamp Co. as well.  This months challenge is a Holiday Love Theme and I think I have captured this with the Unity Stamp sentiment titled........" Happy Holidays from our home to yours"  such a warm sentiment!!!!
