Creative Scrappers Sketch 223 & Authentique August Inspiration Color Challenge

Hello To-day I wanted to share a layout reflecting a most memorable summer time memory. Com'on don't you wish you were the skier in this picture. These are the memories everyone will chat about around the campfire each and every summer to come. Isn't this so summery?? This one is for Creative Scrappers Summer Sketch 223.
I was inspired by the Authentique August Color Challenge and thought the colors reflect summer so well with a water skiing picture. Creative Scrappers Sketch 223 was perfect for this photo.
Authentique Paper has a great summer paper collection called Curiosity and I used the Learning and Interested double sided papers.

Inkido & Creative Scrappers Sketch # 215

Hello, Today I would like to share a layout that I created for the Inkido Blog Challenge HERE. My inspiration came from sketch # 215 at the Creative Scrappers challenge blog and a lovely tutorial by Michelle Grant of the Donna Salazar Girlie Grunge Website. I used Donna's paper collection called Antiquities and Donna's smooch spritz. PaperCraft Scandinavia/Inkido products carry lovely paper collections which create dreamy artistic layouts. They have a wonderful Design Team that really show case the paper collections beautifully. Grab a coffee and visit their site HERE. Get some of their paper collections if you can find them at your LSS. Here is the Creative Scrappers SKETCH # 215 where i got my sketch.
Here is my interpretation of the International Challenge # 2 posted by Agnieszka Bellaidea.
Here is a close up of the cheesecloth wave with shells, silver seed beads and glitter. The glitter is outstanding, although its not captured in the photo today.
Join the fun by creating a layout for the challenge which is anything beachy or the color turquoise. Did I not hit the mark for the requested turquoise beachy layout? Isn't that wave beautiful??

Donna Salazars Designs

Hello Scrappers... Today, I want to share with you one of my favorite websites that I have followed for several years now. Donn Salazar Designs. Check it outHERE The July challenge is a sketch by Mistra. Besides this lovely sketch below, the challenge also requested to add non-traditional embellishments that would not have been manufacturer for the scrapbook industry.
Here is my interpretation of the sketch. Can you see the non scrapbooking items? Cheese cloth, broken/mismatched jewelry, wedding favor netting and wedding favor rings. I upcycled by using some of my negative scraps from my die cutting around the bow at the top of the page. Join in the fun at Donn'a ning site, you will like it.

Sunny side up creations

Hello everyone: Thought I would share a layout that I created using a few inspirational challenges to create this very green layout. Sunny side up creations HERE is a new blog which has a color challenge of black, white and green. I think I managed to get that across in this layout. The sketch came from Scrap That. Scrap That is a great Canadian kit company which you should check out HERE I am happy with the look of this layout. Originally I left the outer edge plain and then I decided to add the framed barbwire look to it. A good friend of mine has a tutorial on how to do this on her blog. Enjoy the tropical view!
