Ann Butler Unity Stamps

Hello
To-day I would like to share a card I have made using the Ann Butler Designs Unity Stamp Co. quilting stamps.

There are many sites on the web where you can find many different quilting patterns.  I found a great tutorial at Nancy Riley's blog.

Collecting my supplies.
Getting started layering all my elements after they have been stamped and cut to size.  These 7 different patterns of Ann Butler Designs Quilting stamps are 3/8"  x 3" strips.
You can see that I used the Tombow Stamp runner adhesive to coat my 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" base square, placed my center joy diamond square into the middle of the base mat and started layering all the tiny strips to get the quilted look.
Added a border punched mat onto the card base with some May Arts Ribbons.

Lots of preparation work with the stamping and cutting the strips to size, although the quilted mat comes together quickly once you get started.

Mother's Day

Hello, here to share with you a classic black and white card for
Mother's Day.

There is a great video by Gina K Designs that showcases the two embossing folder technique you see here in this card.  I choose two Sizzix folders and sanded my embossing lightly.

You can see how well the Core'dinations Core Essentials, Snowflake and the Graphic 45 Signature Series, Photogenic complement each other with their mat finish. Both Cardstocks are my favorite.
Add a sheer ribbon and some crystals by Zva Creative and your card is a classic that will make mom proud.

Coast to Coast Show Toronto

Hello:  The April 11th  weekend was a great weekend for the artist and paper crafter in Southern Ontario.  The Coast to Coast Show in Toronto and Scrapfest in Kitchener.

Here is a photo where I am helping some ladies complete a Powertex make and take in Toronto.

These ladies enjoyed the opportunity of a hands-on experience with Powertex.

Here is a photo of Scrapfest in Kitchener with Elizabeth  showcasing Westcott Brand Scissors and Banners of Hope.

There are a couple more shows coming up in April 2014.

The Creative Festival in Toronto and Bloomin Earth Festival in Kitchener.
Both shows are held the weekend of April 25-26, 2014.

Next Coast to Coast show is being held in London, Ontario the weekend of August 6-9, 2014.

Easter Bunnies

Hello,  I have a cute little shaped card that would be great to enclose with a gift this Easter.
Sometimes it's a refreshing change to make a shaped card.  Here I used the Core'dinations Core Essential's Pastel Collection of Cardstock. Embossed and sanded the card to have the inner core show through.
I embellished my card with a die cut from Spellbinders, May Arts Ribbon and ScrapFX chipboard to give the card some happiness.  The Core'dinations Pastel collection colors co-ordinate so well with each other.
