December 2020 Beautiful challenges

Welcome to my Creative Embellishments blog post to share my take on the

December 2020 Monthly Challenge.

The challenge is to be inspired by 1 element from the photo below.

The purple umbrella color caught my eye and of course the texture from the Christmas Tree.

Here is my card that I designed from the above inspirational photo.

My Best Wishes card features the following Creative Embellishment Chipboard pieces from the store.

Berry Branches

Arched Windows

Small Sentiment Words

Check out Creative Embellishments Fan Page and join us for the January 2021 challenge.

Check out this beautiful mood board.  I was so sparkled when I saw this mood board by

Splashing Mixed Media .    This mood board sure makes me want to create more projects.

For my card to support Splashy mixed media, I choose the lovely olive green and the lights from the mood board.

The iridescence berries on my branches sparkle and shine like the lights from this December 2020 mood board.

I am also playing along with the Simon Says stamping.

Wednesday, Dec, 23/20 challenge is titled Sparkle and Shine.  Well, I really think my berries on my chipboard really have a iridescent sparkle to them.

I have stamped on the front the tiny hearts around my front card sentiment and inside the card I have stamped as well.

Creative Embellishments

Hello and Welcome to my blog...

Wishing everyone health and happiness as we journey through this world wide change.

To-day, I wish to share a card I made showcasing some of my favorite products and support leader's within our community through creative challenges.

I decided to showcase some  Creative Embellishments Chipboard by making a card for the
July 2020 challenge.

The challenge is to be inspired by this mood board and make your project a Birthday Theme.

Well here is the Moroccan Lattice from Creative Embellishments made to look like honey comb on my Birthday Card.  I was inspired by the stack of dishes with their bright and cheerful color as the colors reminded me of rainbows and birthday parties.

Here is my card.

I ordered some Honey bee stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Blog Store recently and everything fit together so well this week.

I am entering this card in the Facebook group called Honey Bee Stamps Buzzworthy Challenges.

Challenge # 55 is all about Rainbows.

Here is the stamp sets I showcased in my card.

Visit Honey Bee Stamps Blog and select the facebook icon to find the Challenge # 55.

I also want to support Simon Says

Simon Says has a Monday and a Wednesday challenge which is lots of fun as it helps keep the mojo creative and they truly are a leader within our industry.  Great store on the website to shop for all creative supplies.

Wednesday, July 1, 2020  challenge is titled, Bright and Cheerful.

I purchased a great tool that I used to adhere my rhinestone gems to my card.
My experience has lead me to Studio Katia.

This is an Embellishment Wand all creative designer's should have in their personal tool collection.

One last look of my card which I will be donating to my father's retirement home to bring cheer to staff and residents in need of a cards.

Thanks again for stopping by and enjoy the summer sunshine.

The Retired Traveler Returns

Hello and welcome back to my leave of absence (LOA) from my Creative Studio.

It's been approximately  1.5 years since my last post on my blog here at Cottage Life.

Life has presented many changes and experiences during my LOA and I have decided to hop back in say hello and that I am continuing  to experience the Journey of Life.  Extended family changes have kept me occupied and traveling the globe with my husband has brought new experiences meeting people who have enriched our lives.

The Coronavirus Pandemic announcement of March 11, 2020 brought us home early from our travels on March 21st and after our 14 day travel quarantine we here in North America are making a difference around our homes as spring arrives.  The staying home campaign, keeping us safe will allow us to achieving goals around the home that will provide our family lots of satisfaction.

Wishing everyone Health and happiness while staying home safe.
