Play Date Cafe Challenge and Berry71Blue

Hello Everyone, today I made a card for a dear friend who became a 1st time grandparent this month. I am really enjoying dry embossing these days and hope to get better as I create new projects. This card is my entry for the color challenge at theplaydatecafe.blogspot.ca. The play date Cafe has a great team of designer, so go check out their site and join in the fun. I am submitting this card in the chipboard challenge at Berry71Blue.blogspot.ca Check out their site here Supplies: Want2Scrap Chipboard, Color box, Royal Blue Ink, Sizzix Alerations embossing folder, white cardstock, black ribbon. Notice that the branch and bird is the chipboard by Want2Scrap, which I embossed and then applied 2 coats of gesso before inking with the Royal Blue ink by Color Box.

  9. I'm honestly in awe of anyone who can create such lovely cards ~ so much of the work I do is on computer that creating by hand is sadly missed. Your card is delicate and beautiful ~ wonderful work!

  10. Hello Ava, very effective use of the ink and emboss.
The strategically placed ribbon ground the work.
I love the mono chromatic simplicity. Wish I had time to
play with you all at the Cafe' alas I have to just enjoy
what you create with the prompts.
Thank You for popping in and leaving kind comments...still
raining here, so I have to clean inside as opposed to playing outside LOL
    Keep smiling and creating
