The Retired Traveler Returns

Hello and welcome back to my leave of absence (LOA) from my Creative Studio.

It's been approximately  1.5 years since my last post on my blog here at Cottage Life.

Life has presented many changes and experiences during my LOA and I have decided to hop back in say hello and that I am continuing  to experience the Journey of Life.  Extended family changes have kept me occupied and traveling the globe with my husband has brought new experiences meeting people who have enriched our lives.

The Coronavirus Pandemic announcement of March 11, 2020 brought us home early from our travels on March 21st and after our 14 day travel quarantine we here in North America are making a difference around our homes as spring arrives.  The staying home campaign, keeping us safe will allow us to achieving goals around the home that will provide our family lots of satisfaction.

Wishing everyone Health and happiness while staying home safe.

Christmas Blog Hop with Canvas Corp Brands

Hello and Welcome to my blog.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. You are in for a treat! Today I am participating in a  hop with teammates from Canvas Corp Brands.

There are lots of fantastic designers world wide that have come together to showcase terrific projects that you can recreate and put your own artistic touches on in your craft room. You have seen a lot of these designers featured on sites like Tattered Angels, 7 Gypsies and and Canvas Corp Brands!

The Creative Crew at Canvas Corp Brands (CCB) would like to share creative visions to set the mood for the festive season upon us.

I wanted to share a project that I created that was published in the latest

Just Christmas Cards and Decorations Magazine by Scott Publications.com.

Please support our Print Magazines as much as possible so that the hard copy magazines can continue to provide joy to those that do not have internet access or want to enjoy a hard copy

"off the grid" as we label this phenomenon.

Here is a close up of my gift box project.

Tip: Re-purpose any small gift box as a template by tracing the opened/flatten box onto your

 favorite card stock.

You will find my project published on page 15

of the Just Christmas Cards and  Decorations

Vol 5  2018 Magazine.

This magazine is available for purchase from Amazon as well as BarnsandNoble, if they have not sold out of the magazine.  I believe your  craft supply Box Store will also carry this magazine as well.

Opportunities To Celebrate

Hello Bloggers.

It's been a season of change and adjustments as our families grow and celebrate milestones.

My son Andrew has returned from Asian modeling recently and is back in Canada enjoying

life in the big city.

The fashion industry schedules and calendar's take time to prep for seasonal production and marketing of their products and here is a pleasant surprise that we recently discovered.

Andrew has made it to a Men's Section within a department store in Asia.  We are happy for his milestone success and hope to see a few more in the future.

Congrat's Andrew !

Hello and Welcome to my blog.

June is a big month for summer Weddings.

I live near a beautiful Floral Garden Park and its a place for many Weddings to have photo's taken.

I in fact had my Wedding photo's taken at this park 33 years ago.

To celebrate June as Wedding month, I have created a special card for a Bride and Groom.

Stop by the Canvas Corp Blog and see how to create this wedding card which

is a twist to the traditional folded card.

Thanks for stopping by today and have yourself a creative day  !!!

Hello and Welcome...

Oh my goodness it's May 1st already!  4 months have zipped past, with a late Spring start and still waiting for the weather to warm up and settle.

Once that sun start's to shine with blue skies, I immediately think of

lake side breezes or ocean beaches.

To-day I am celebrating the month with the arrival of spring flowers in the garden, lake and oceans with new activity.

Here is a sneak peek of my Easel Card that I made to celebrate the season.

Please stop by the Canvas Corp Blog and see some additional photo's on how attractive

an easel card can be.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and comments are truly appreciated.
