Natures Beauty

Hello and good morning.
Sharing  a morning beauty with all of those who have the opportunity to view this presentation daily and for those who must wait till the sunshine of summer brings this lily to our lake side waters.
Lily over front
I miss this morning presentation at this time of year and wanted to enjoy a layout that would bring back the warm sunshine to my face with the gentle lake side breezes.
Lily gather supplies
A few supplies you will need for this layout.  Helmar's Scrap Dots and Quickfix Adhesive Runner.Floral punches and Alpha dies.
Lily scrapdots
Helmar Scrap Dots are great to give a project a 3D dimensional effect.  Remember to lightly assemble the layers of petals and let the glue dry well before moving around.
Lily runner tape
The Helmar Quickfix Adhesive Runner is a great adhesive to assemble layers of cardstock.
Lily zapdots
Ya just gott'a love the black Helmar ZapDots to give a project a 3D dimensional look.  Add some bling and ink and you are taken back to the early morning lake side beauties that we all admire.
Lily side
Helmar Adhesive sure does give the 3D effect to this layout, just as the lily floats on the lake in the early morning.

Core'dinations Valentine's Card

Gina K Stamps has a cute set of stamps which celebrates Valentine's Day and I thought this  vintage phone complements the vintage feel of the Core'dinations Vintage collection.
I stamped the image using WOW embossing powder to gloss up the image to support the quality of the vintage Core'dinations cardstock.  The pre-embossed vintage Core'dinations cardstock makes this card full with dimension after sanding to reveal the inner colored core.
I also embossed, sanded and border punched some strips of black cardstock from the Neutral collection to reveal the inner grey core of this cardstock to make faux washi tape.  Think of the unlimited possibilities of creating faux washi tape just by sanding your Core'dinations Cardstock strips.
Embellish your card with rhinestones, sequences and May Arts Ribbon.

Ann Butler Doily Picnic Stamp

Hello today is my very first post on the Ann Butler Designs website.  I wish to  share with you a cute tiny stamp set that has huge possibilities. Ann Butler's 1" Doily Picnic stamp can be found at Unity Stamp Co.

Lucky, is the title of this CAS card, suggesting  many reasons to smile about.  So lets get started and create this CAS card.
Select your cardstock of choice, embossing ink and powder.  You might want to practice a bit on some end cuts of cardstock to get a feel for your pattern of choice and to ensure you have your quilting squares all lined up nicely.
If you have an anti-static embossing bag  rub your cardstock before stamping your cardstock with embossing ink.  Apply a liberal amount of embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat set your embossing powder.
Trim your embossed strip of cardstock to the size of your card base and adhere.  Punch out 4 hearts and 1 circle to make a shamrock from additional embossed cardstock pieces.  We did say this card was Lucky.  So, I am lucky to be on the Ann Butler design team and shamrock's represent the luck of the Irish for St. Patrick's Day, so lets celebrate together St. Patty's Day this coming March.

Add a ribbon along the top of  your quilted stamped strip of cardstock.

A cute title cut from some Quickutz alpha dies, almost make this card dance before your eyes.  Adhere the title to the card above the ribbon trim.
Adhere your shamrock to a square panel of cardstock and then to the card base using Helmar's Zap Dots to give the shamrock a lift off the card.

Adding a few pearls gave Lucky a twinkle that really show cased Ann's tiny Doily Picnic Stamp set.

Helmar Valentine Presentation

This year, design your Valentine card on a gift box.  Google pillow box template sketches, print and cut from your favorite cardstock.  Mine is Core'dinations Glitter Silk Cardstock for this pillow box.

Emboss the glitter cardstock.  Tip, when you have a project that is bigger than your embossing machine plates, try this option:  lightly water spray the back side of your paper, and get out a heavy rolling pin and roll over your paper which has an embossing folder underneath.  Experiment and you will be happy with this technique.

Die cut your border strip , mini paper rosette, mini hearts from Core'dinations Glitter silk and you are ready to assemble your pillow box using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.

This Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive truly is a great quick drying adhesive with a strong bonding adhesion.

Once I had my mini rosette adhered with 450 Quick Dry Adhesive I added a dollop of Helmars Liquid Scrap Dots to the back side to adhere to the pillow box.

Assemble your pillow box embellishment using  Helmar 450 Quick Dy Adhesive to adhere the tulle, heart, feathers and ribbon.

February the month of Love

I would like to share a Wedding Layout with you to celebrate February the month of Sweetheart Valentines.
I choose the Core Amour Whitewash cardstock to showcase how quickly pre-embossed collections from Core'dinations can have a layout completed with a great textured presentation.
This close up showcases the sanding to reveal a light pink inner core that works so well with the Vintage black lae pattern of this cardstock. I have punched out some mini hearts from the Gemstones collection and embossed the hearts for some texture to show the shine of the Gemstone collection.
To complement the pattern of the cardstock, I die cut some flourish's from Sizzix and embossed the flourish to give the gemstone cardstock some texture.
The layout is embellished with some doilies, tulle and sequences.

Valentines Day with Core'dinations

Hello and Happy Valentines Day.  The heart is wonderful place for all things kind and good.
Here is a card that I designed showcasing Core'dinations Vintage collection and Scarlett from the Darks collection.
You can see that embossing and sanding the Scarlett red cardstock matches the Vintage cardstock well.  That is one nice feature of Core'dinations cardstock, so many of the collections co-ordinate with each other to design a wonderful presentation.
Add some embellishments like Darice washi tape, rhinestones, pins and ribbon and your have a luscious full bodied presentation of a vintage valentine card.  Visit your nearest LSS and pick up some Core'dinations Cardstock for that special card.

Happy New Year

Sharing a fresh blue and white Happy New Year Decor presentation with you today.   When there is a fresh white snowfall at the beginning of the New Year, I think of white and blue color tones.  Not everyone lives in snow country so I will try to give you the fresh look that snow does bring to the beginning of a New Year.
I like working with star's and my home decor frame for your door will greet anyone who visits your home with the feeling of fresh snow.
Star front door
The picture taking of the front door was beyond my camera skill on a sunny beautiful day as you can image with all that glass, so I took the picture at night time and the balance of pictures from a wall in my home to appreciate the glitter of the die cut stars.
Star supplies
Lets gather those supplies and get started.  Helmar Tacky Craft Glue did the trick for this project.  Really worked well with ribbon between the star panels.
Stars new bottle
Just had to show you that I cracked open a new bottle of Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.  See that great seal to protect your product until you are ready to use it.  Gott'a love that feature of quality packaging.
Stars frame 450
Apply a liberal amount of Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to have all the ribbons attach to the back of the picture frame.
Stars full view
Now is this not a change from your traditional home decor wreath.  It is so fresh and new to celebrate the beginning of the New Year.
Stars side
I decided to make a card to celebrate the Beginning of the New Year as well.

Happy New Year everyone!!

Core'dination Cardstock Christmas Decor

I am  here to share with you a cute little Christmas Decor item that you can make using the Core'dinations Cardstock Neutral collection.  Snip a few pieces of greenery from outdoors and you have a great table center piece or home decor item.

Search the internet images for pattern's or check out Coats and Clark for this great reindeer pattern.
Emboss, sand and cut out two pieces of each pattern for each of the reindeer.  You need a front and back which is glued together.
See how nice the inner core of the Core'dinations Cardstock matches so well with the paper pieced antler color of the Core'dinations Neutral collection.
Have some fun creating your own home decor items from the Core'dinations Cardstock Neutral Collection.  Decor items can be so vogue with sanded matching color tones.
