Susan K Weckesser-My Sweet Earth

Hello fellow bloggers!!! To-day I wanted to share a card I made for Susan K Weckesser's blog. Super talented lady and she is a big Unity Stamp Co. designer!!!! At her blog, My Sweet Earth, she has a challenge going on and of course it is spring like woohoo. *******I so wanted to create spring like, although the mountain of snow we have, with it still cold outside, I really wanted to showcase her cute little snowman stamp...... So, I took 3 colors from the color challenge and made a winter card........ I know, I know you want spring..... I want the cute little snowman. This card also features Clear Snap products. I have used Clear Snap products: Smooch spritz (I mixed ice rink & mossy river). Smooch pearlized ink, siren color and pigment, colorbox alchemy, gold ink. The sentiment of the card reads...." One kind word can warm, 3 winter months". Susan's little snowman can be purchased over at Unity and they have an inspirational sketch challenge going on right now and I have used snow drifts and clouds on my card to follow the sketch design. Check out the sketch challenge at Unity and be sure to visit Susan's challenge as well.

Mojo Monday, with Unity and the Shabby Tea Rm

Hello friends: *update: selected as a shabby tea room, honourable mention. Today, I have been surfing the web, collecting visions of inspiration so that I am prepared for my Really Reasonable Ribbon Guest Design Team month which is coming up this March. I am happy to be part of this team. As a warm up I designed this card showcasing the Unity stamps for the Friday, Friends with Flair challenge. The Unity stamp set showcased here is called Stylin Stars and Heartfelt sentiments. I find that if I have a sketch as my base for any project, I can create freely and my project blossoms much quicker with that inspiration. This week Mojo Monday had a sketch that everyone would love........ Stop by and visit the Shabby Tea Room, they have a great color challenge going on and you will like it... who doesn't love silver? Of course, when you are challenged with specific colors you can always go to Really Reasonable Ribbon for your white seam binding and color the binding to match your color challenge..... Visit the RRR store and just see the beautiful selection of ribbon you can choose from. RRR has a great search field where you can look at their stock by color!!!! I am sharing this card today. Want2Scrap & Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR) and Word Art Wednesday

Northridge Publishing December 2012 sketch challenge. Hello Friends!!! Taking a line from my dear inspirational mentor Heather HUDSON, who is a designer for Really Reasonable Ribbon (RRR), I too hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for the holiday season that is upon us. Today, I have some great news to share with you; Bonnie owner of RRR is the current sponsor at Word Art Wednesday.
RRR is sponsoring Word Art’s CHALLENGE # 57. I thought I would play along at both blogs since this may be my last project until after Christmas as time is getting close to the big day. I just received my order of gorgeous ribbons from RRR which I opened and immediately felt inspired by the Satin Diamond Ribbons. These are my favorites from Bonne’s site; check them out HERE the 5/8 inch size. So, here is my close-up of RRR, it shines so brightly. This is my entry for their current CHALLENGE # 61 which is white on white with an optional color.
Word Art Wednesday challenge #57 is Giving/Anything Goes. This challenge site features challenges inspired by God and challenge # 57 is asking for an encouraging or uplifting sentiment on your project.
The Want2Scrap pearl label really does shine on this card. Guest designer Karen Howe Murray of WordArtWednesday, had the perfect Christmas word art for my combined challenge card. Visit Karen HERE for inspirational word art. Karen has a lovely selection to choose from. Share some love with these generous ladies and visit and comment on their sites. I will be playing along at northridge publishing as they have a sketch challenge going on right now, and that is where i got my inspiration for the sketch!!! Love the sketch i flipped the sketch horizontally. Check out their new monthly CARDS blog challenge HERE.

Coredinations 2nd Annual Holiday Party

Hello and welcome to my blog for the Coredinations 2nd annual Hard Core Holiday Crop. Coredinations has been celebrating the Holidays with their inspirational design team this week and the team really showcased COREDINATIONS beautifully. Please visit Coredinations blog for the master listing of designers with their personal challenges. These ladies have dedicated their time and talent to this annual event and you will not be disappointed. Here are my designs as a result of inspiration from the Coredinations Design TEAM. Thanks ladies!!! All of my creations have been made from the Core Impressions Graphic 45 Timeless Collection by Core'dinations color core cardstock. Shanunte Wadley asked for a stocking stuffer gift. I have pictured below a gold star shaped gift ornament which I will be putting some hair elastic's inside the star as a gift. Melissa Oliveira's challenge is to make a gift item. Well I could not resist making a christmas tree ornament out of pearls and ribbons. I used Core Impressions Graphic 45 Timeless Collection by core'dinations for the tree trunk of this ornament. Love how the sanding gave the tree trunk a classy texture design. Bonnie, owner of Really Reasonable Ribbon has a TUTORIAL on her website on how to make this Ribbon Tree. Leann Pearce has a challenge for everyone to try out a leaf folding technique. Here you can see that I used my leaves to embellish a gorgeous Chantilly Buttercream velvet and Lace bloom from PETALOO. Does this not look elegant on the classic black headband for some lucky girl to wear on any occassion?
Next up for the Coredinations party challenges is Jennifer Edwardson and Margie Higuchi's gift bag inspirational challenges. Jennifer has inspired all of us to create a gift bag with a tag. So, you can see my striking red gift bag with black embellishments here in the photo below. Margie's challenge was to create a gift bag using die cuts. Well I think the mojo was working that night due to the color scheme and I really gave my coredinations a workout embellishing this gift bag. The lovely green vine on this gift bag is from Flourishwithabling. FWAB is from australia and please do check out their website; a great community based leading manufacture of quality embellishments.
A few other challenges that inspired me were from Leica Forrest, Lydia Jackson and Debbie Standard. Lecia gave us inspiration for an all occasion gift bag which inspired me to create this little stand up gift bag with the sparkly tulle bow. Lydia's sketch challenge gave me this ideal to make a special card for dad. Debbie,s challenge was to use ribbon on a card and I even got my SCOR-PAL out to give my card an authentic retro look with scoring lines in a sunshine ray design on my card.
Hopefully theses Coredinations projects will inspire you to bring out your papers and create some happiness!!!
